Position title : Senior Tax Manger

Reports to : Director of Tax

Location : Tampa / Clearwater, FL

Position Summary :

Reporting to the Director of Tax will assist with all aspects of the company's tax function, including income tax reporting, tax compliance, tax planning and strategy. This position requires a strategically focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position and minimize tax liabilities
• Responsible for the preparation and review of the consolidated income tax provision, including preparation of the tax disclosures in the companys SEC filings (Forms 10-Q and 10-K), and related SOX 404 requirements
• Direct the preparation and review of the federal and state tax returns
• Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations related to the cannabis industry and ensure the company's tax practices remain in compliance
• Provide support for sales tax compliance
• Collaborates with finance, legal and the business on M&A activity, including tax due diligence, review of tax sections in acquisition agreements, and post-acquisition integration / compliance
• Manages outside tax consultants that support the functions tax planning and compliance
• Assist with the oversight of audits of federal and state income tax as well as state and local indirect tax filings, including coordination with third party vendors
• Manages a team of tax professionals with a focus on development and mentoring
• Leads with a continuous improvement mindset across the department
• Liaise with cross-functional business leaders on tax impacts to departments

QUALIFICATIONS :

Salary will be commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 40 hours per week and will be available after hours if an emergency situation should arise.
