Key Responsibilities:
- Lead business analysis for US Sponsored Repo testing and production rollout initiatives.
- Define acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and validation frameworks for sponsored repo workflows.
- Coordinate UAT activities with trading desks, operations, and technology teams.
- Document defects, track remediation, and verify fixes across test cycles.
- Elicit and document business requirements for Canada Sponsored Repo market expansion.
- Analyze differences in US vs. Canadian repo market conventions, settlement cycles, and regulatory requirements.
- Define functional specifications for Sponsored GC (Triparty) product enhancements.
- Maintain requirements traceability matrices linking business needs to system capabilities.
- Partner with repo traders, collateral managers, and middle-office operations to understand workflows.
- Facilitate working sessions with technology, compliance, and risk teams.
- Present analysis findings, options, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Serve as primary liaison between business units and delivery teams during rollout phases.
- Map end-to-end sponsored repo lifecycle: trade capture, netting, settlement, margin calls, close-outs.
- Identify process inefficiencies, manual workarounds, and automation opportunities.
- Document current-state vs. future-state workflows with swim-lane diagrams.
- Recommend operational improvements aligned with industry best practices.
- Define data lineage and reconciliation requirements for sponsored repo positions.
- Specify reporting needs for internal risk monitoring and regulatory submissions.
- Validate data accuracy in pre-production and production environments.
- Support creation of operational dashboards and MI reporting.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years as a Business Analyst in capital markets, specifically in repo or collateral financing.
- Strong understanding of sponsored repo mechanics: principal vs. agency, netting agreements, margin frameworks.
- Working knowledge of US repo markets (FICC, bilateral settlement) and triparty infrastructure (BNY Mellon, Euroclear).
- Familiarity with Canadian repo market structure and settlement conventions.
- Understanding of collateral management: haircuts, substitution rights, mark-to-market processes.
- Proficiency in requirements elicitation techniques: interviews, workshops, process mapping, user stories.
- Experience with testing methodologies: functional, integration, regression, UAT.
- Strong documentation skills using Confluence, JIRA, or equivalent tools.
- Comfortable with SQL for data validation and analysis.
- Familiarity with repo trading platforms (e.g., Bloomberg REPO, Client, proprietary systems).
- Ability to decompose complex repo workflows into clear, testable requirements.
Pay: $70-$80/hr
