Back End Developer

12-month Contract

New York, New York (100% Remote)

We are seeking an individual to work with a Fortune 50 Broadcast Media & Entertainment leader located in New York, New York. As the Back End Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the backend pipelines that support their business intelligence tools. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on setting up and managing pipelines to ensure data is efficiently retried and made available for AI Processing.

Minimum Qualifications :

5-7 years of experience in backend development with a strong background in DevOps
Proficiency in backend technologies ( FastAPI + Temporal
), python, and PostGreSQL
Knowledge of ML / AI deployment and processing (nice to have)
Familiarity with standard DevOps tools and practices, including GitHub , Kubernetes, and Docker
Ability to perform tasks quickly and efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex backend issues
Cloud Native technologies like GCP (direct experience hosting PostGreSQL in GCP is a plus)

Responsibilities :

Lead the development of the distributed microservices platform designed for processing and analyzing video content at scale. This is built using cloud-native technologies like FastAPI+Temporal, PostgreSQL, and Neo4j (local and Aura cloud), Qdrant (vector database).

Design and implement backend pipelines to retrieve data and facilitate its availability for Ai processing

Set up and manage DevOps pipelines using standard tools to ensure smooth deployment and operation of backend services

Maintain the application Docker infrastructure to ensure applications are running effectively

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to understand backend requirements and ensure alignment with business needs

Manage machine learning contributions to successfully integrate

Utilize standard DevOps tools such as Kubernetes and Docker to streamline & automate processes
