Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to provide exceptional care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and experience in neonatal and pediatric respiratory care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform respiratory therapy assessments, treatments, and evaluations for neonates and pediatric patients.
  • Manage ventilator support and weaning attempts under supervision.
  • Deliver aerosol therapy using various devices and troubleshoot alarm systems.
  • Perform arterial blood gas draws and provide interpretation.
  • Participate in the care of patients in both the NICU and PICU, including emergencies.
  • Administer high flow oxygen therapy and other respiratory therapies as required.

    • Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy, with a focus in pediatric or NICU settings.
  • Active North Carolina respiratory therapist license.
  • Certifications : BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT are required. NPS is preferred.
  • Experience with ventilator management and troubleshooting.
