Summary
Oversee, plan, monitor, and manage teams supporting the purchasing of IT products and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness, alignment with organizational IT strategy, risk mitigation, and efficient procurement processes. Ensure departmental and support personnel are focused on managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and analyzing market trends to optimize procurement outcomes. Lead continuous improvement of processes while promoting alignment across the organization.
Major Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing
Identify, evaluate, and facilitate the selection of vendors for IT hardware, software, and services.
Lead sourcing events (RFI, RFQ, RFP) based on market and spend analysis, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals and strategy.
Contract Negotiation
Lead negotiations with key suppliers.
Negotiate favorable pricing, terms, and service level agreements that meet or exceed requirements and align with business strategy.
Vendor Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues.
Collaborate with technology and business partners to ensure successful business outcomes.
Establish and conduct business reviews for top suppliers.
Cost Optimization
Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Implement strategies to reduce expenses.
Optimize productivity through price analysis, value analysis (VA), or continuous improvement projects based on goals and objectives.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
Develop best practices and standard guidelines for technology and technology services acquisition, support, and maintenance.
Actively monitor and mitigate supplier risk, including financial, capacity, quality, and compliance risks.
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand needs, provide guidance, and ensure alignment with IT strategy.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in technology procurement.
Support building business cases using internal analytics, business requirements, industry trends, and best practices.
Process Improvement
Identify, prioritize, and execute process improvement and automation opportunities.
Analyze exceptions to uncover root cause challenges.
Identify process gaps and propose solutions to team members and senior leaders.
Contract Lifecycle Management
Initiate, author, negotiate, review, approve, execute, renew, and / or terminate IT contracts.
Maintain a centralized repository for all contract documents.
Track key dates and obligations, ensuring adherence to contract terms.
Management Responsibilities
Provide oversight to professional employees and teams.
Interpret and execute policies for departments or projects.
Recommend, develop, and implement new policies and procedures, or modify existing ones as needed.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Experience
Experience in Technology Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, Contract Management, Vendor Management, or other relevant business areas.
Knowledge of IT technologies, including cloud computing, SaaS, and AI.
Proficiency in procurement systems and tools.
Skills
Knowledge of IT strategic sourcing and vendor management.
Demonstrated understanding of license and subscription model variations, managed services, and product implementation statements of work.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to conduct meetings with clients and third parties.
Ability to independently find and fix inefficiencies.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Excellent ability to manage multiple competing priorities and flexibility to adjust to changing requirements.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, task management, and organizational skills.
Ability to help team members and customers embrace policies and procedures.
Ability to quickly grasp and explain technological and business concepts.
Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Data management and reporting skills.

The anticipated salary range for this position :
$96,200.00 - $144,560.00 Annual
The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and / or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
