Quality Control Technician

Job Title : Quality Control Technician

We are seeking a diligent Quality Control Technician to join our production team. The role involves performing quality control checks on the production line, ensuring product standards are met. You will conduct basic testing on products, including checks for salt, acid, viscosity, and moisture, and monitor critical control points using equipment such as metal detectors and x-ray machines.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control checks on the production line.
• Conduct basic product testing for salt, acid, viscosity, and moisture.
• Monitor critical control points, including metal detectors and x-ray machines.
• Carry out pre-operation inspections.
• Perform microbiological and allergen swabbing.
• Oversee 1-2 production lines at a time.
• Collect up to 10 product samples per hour, depending on the product.

Work Environment

The position operates on a 2nd shift schedule from 2 : 30 PM to 1 AM, Monday through Thursday. Initial training will occur on the 1st shift, starting between 6 AM and 8 AM for approximately a week. Flexibility is required for potential overtime, typically after shifts, and a rotating Friday schedule (1-2 Fridays a month). The role is part of a family-owned company known for its supportive work environment, strong benefits, and no layoffs policy. Strict attendance policy is enforced, with specific points for absences and tardiness.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00 / hr.
