Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Experienced)
Seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery. This role ensures equipment operates efficiently and safely, provides technical support, and trains or troubleshoots with manufacturing personnel. May be required to back up other positions as needed.
Perform systematic preventive maintenance following industry best practices
Troubleshoot and repair machinery, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, machining, and fabrication systems
Interpret operational manuals, schematics, blueprints, and manufacturer specifications
Assist with preventive maintenance (PM) program and track results
Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives
Lead and manage assigned projects
Provide technical support and training to maintenance and production staff
Ensure compliance with all OSHA, Arc Flash, and Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO) procedures
Perform general repairs, adjustments, and maintenance on machinery and equipment
Maintain good communication and relationships with coworkers and supervisors
Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, machining, and fabrication systems
Professional, technical, or trade education preferred (2-year degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent)
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
Continuously: use hands, grasp tools, talk, hear
Frequently: bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach overhead, stretch, stand, sit, walk, rotate body, lift/push/pull up to 75 lbs
Occasionally: climb, balance, perform repetitive motions, lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs, taste/smell
Vision requirements: constant observation, near/far acuity, peripheral vision
Mechanical control operation: buttons, knobs, levers, cranks, pedals
Continuously: hand tools
Frequently: welders, draw machines, milling machines, grinders, presses, lathes, band saws, shop equipment, testing devices (VOM, AMP, Meg-Ohm, temperature meters), measuring tools (tape, calipers, micrometers), computer, office equipment
Occasionally: vehicles/heavy equipment (forklift, sweeper, crane, golf cart, company pickup)
Continuous exposure to loud noise, oil, grease, solvents
Frequent exposure to heat/cold, wet/humid conditions, dust, moving machinery, electrical hazards, work at heights
Occasional exposure to slippery floors, vibration, outside weather, toxic/caustic chemicals, vapors/fumes/gases, and explosive hazards
Continuously: safety goggles/glasses, safety shoes
