A retail employer is seeking a Retail Supervisor for its Bloomington, MN location . The Retail Supervisor supports store leadership in the effective operation of the store and provides guidance to associate-level team members. This role helps ensure strong customer experiences, high store standards, and efficient execution of daily operations. The position also plays a key role in driving sales results, supporting merchandising initiatives, and fostering a collaborative team culture.
Responsibilities
- Provide training and coaching to associates to support customer engagement, product recommendations, and effective use of product knowledge.
- Ensure associates introduce customers to loyalty programs and encourage customer feedback.
- Support store leadership with merchandising directives, timely product replenishment, visual presentation, and overall store cleanliness.
- Supervise assigned department areas and drive sales through understanding customer needs, product knowledge, and visual merchandising execution.
- Communicate product needs, challenges, and updates to store leadership.
- Collaborate with store leadership to ensure adherence to operational procedures and company policies.
- Assist in resolving operational issues as they arise.
- Promote a positive, team-oriented store culture and uphold professional standards.
Requirements
No specific education required (High School Diploma or GED preferred).2–5 years of experience in retail or a related role.Experience using inventory systems, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and other retail software tools.Ability to use sound judgment to resolve routine operational issues.Effective communication skills for interacting with leadership, associates, and customers.Ability to frequently move throughout the store environment and lift / move items up to 40 lbs.Ability to work with store equipment and tolerate occasional exposure to dust and noise.Availability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, seasonal demands, and local regulations.Ability to communicate clearly with others.Benefits
