TIS surgeons specialize in orthopedic surgery, back and spine surgery, pain management, ENT procedures, plastic surgery, foot and ankle surgery, urological surgical care, sports medicine and other specialties.

Job Summary :

The Patient Care Technician assists the Nurses in providing quality patient care.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities :

• Assists with the flow of patients from waiting area to exam rooms in various departments.
• Transportation of patient via use of wheelchair or walker as needed. Assists patients with personal medical needs.
• Recognizes, reports, and reacts to actual potential emergency situations.
• Assists patients with ADL's as needed
• Assists with lab needs as pertinent under the guidance of R.N. Takes and charts vital signs.
• Restocks rooms, folds and puts away laundry, performs housekeeping duties, checks sharps box, gloves, tissues and empties linen bags daily.
• Communicate professionally with patients, family members, and peers.
• Strategically move to different departments to provide assistance as needed.
• Must work within scope of practice.
