Job Description

Job Description
About the role

StyleSeat helps beauty professionals grow their business, attract quality clients, and run their day with ease. As the Senior Product Manager for Pros, you'll shape the future of the StyleSeat Pro experience across business management, revenue growth, and client relationships. You'll define strategy, ship meaningful product improvements, and create AI powered tools that help Pros work smarter, earn more, and feel supported.

This role is highly cross functional and insight driven. You'll work with engineering, design, data, and marketing to validate ideas, understand Pro needs, and deliver standout features that strengthen our position as the go to platform for beauty professionals.

What you'll do
  • Own the product strategy - Build and drive a clear strategy for the Pro experience that solves real problems, deepens engagement, and grows revenue. Translate business goals into actionable product bets and measurable outcomes.
  • Be the Pro expert - Develop a deep understanding of how Pros operate, grow, and make decisions. Identify and prioritize the most important problems to solve using insights from research, data, and ongoing conversations with Pros.
  • Lead AI-powered product development - Partner with engineering, design, and data science to define and build AI features that streamline workflows, strengthen decision-making, and unlock new revenue for Pros. Ensure thoughtful, responsible use of AI and drive adoption of new AI-powered experiences.
  • Deliver meaningful outcomes - Make smart, confident tradeoffs based on opportunity size, confidence, and time to impact. Balance improvements to core workflows with bigger, strategic bets that step-change the Pro experience.
  • Build great products - Work closely with design to create intuitive, modern, delightful experiences. Ship high-quality solutions that simplify complex tasks and increase Pro confidence.
  • Use AI to accelerate strategy and execution: Leverage AI tools to move faster in your own work, from shaping strategy and exploring opportunities to refining problem statements, analyzing insights, and accelerating execution. Use AI to deepen understanding, improve clarity, and increase the speed and quality of decisions.
  • Work iteratively - Drive lean, insight-led development. Constantly test assumptions, refine solutions, and deliver consistent value to Pros.
  • Lead with clarity - Communicate vision, strategy, and decisions with transparency. Align your team and cross-functional partners around what matters most.

Year 1 expectations
  • Become the internal expert on our Pros and the Pro product, advising teams on how Pros work and what they need.
  • Launch 3+ net new features that drive measurable improvements in engagement, adoption, or revenue.
  • Identify a high potential opportunity area for Pro growth with a clear rationale for prioritization.
  • Build a focused, insight backed 6 month roadmap with clear tradeoffs and expected outcomes.

Desired traits
  • Customer-obsessed and curious: You care deeply about Pros, how they work, and what helps them thrive. Curiosity fuels your decisions.
  • Strategic and ambitious: You seek out meaningful opportunities, make disciplined choices, and understand how your work drives business impact.
  • Clears the path: You proactively remove obstacles for your team. You anticipate blockers, simplify decisions, and create the conditions for fast, high-quality execution.
  • Collaborative and transparent: You bring in partners early, communicate openly, and make decisions informed by diverse perspectives.
  • Insight-driven and analytical: You use data and insights to shape decisions, validate assumptions, and measure impact. You know when to trust the numbers and when to lean into qualitative signal.

Who you are

We welcome candidates from a range of product backgrounds. The strongest candidates will bring:

  • 5+ years of product management experience, including:
    • 3+ years building products for Pros, SMBs, or two-sided (B2B2C) marketplaces

  • A track record of identifying high-value opportunities and delivering products with measurable impact
  • Experience driving adoption and ongoing use of established products
  • Strong proficiency with lean, user-centric, and insight-driven product development
  • Ability to break strategy into clear experiments and testable hypotheses
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional influence skills
  • An owner mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-moving, collaborative, remote environment
