What Will I be Doing?
The Manager of Group Sales executes group sales strategy, initiating contact with existing and potential clients to meet goals and objectives in all assigned areas for the resort group sales department across the HGV brand. In this capacity, the position has responsibility for contracting groups requiring 10 rooms or more per night. Additionally, the position is responsible for representing the HGV brand with convention / visitors bureaus (CVB) and Hilton Worldwide destination marketing clusters, where applicable, to develop and execute group sales strategies.
Locate, qualify, negotiate, and book group accounts that have potential to produce revenue and room nights for HGV brand
Utilize and become proficient at use of Delphi group booking system
Work directly with revenue management teams to identify both need dates and value dates to ensure maximization of revenues based on demand
Create, distribute, execute and track rate and program specials related to market for specific properties to drive additional revenues
Coordinate and execute sales calls, property site inspections, contracts, presentations, mailing and travel, as needed
Partner directly Hilton Worldwide Sales group teams to qualify and locate new accounts
Represent HGV brand in related trade shows and support overall group sales efforts
Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly recap tracking reports comparing actual vs. budget for all properties concerned
Coordinate and assist with pubic relations, special events and networking opportunities for the HGV brand as needed or assigned
Tracks monthly, quarterly, and yearly total of room night and revenue production against goals
May be required to do other duties and special projects as assigned by the SDOS to include but not limited to assisting with site inspections at all properties, assisting with familiarization trips for Hilton Worldwide Sales as well as partners and clients outside of market segment, and participation in trade shows and events outside of market segment to assist in driving revenues to HGV
