May be exposed to common allergens (fish, shellfish, nuts, eggs, wheat, soy, milk, tree nuts). Exposure to typical industrial manufacturing conditions (noise, dust, machinery) is possible. This role requires regular sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, climbing, and bending. Must be able to lift and move up to 66 pounds. May be exposed to common allergens (fish, shellfish, nuts, eggs, wheat, soy, milk, tree nuts) depending on facility. 1 st shift availability required : 5 : 30am – 4 : 00pm 2 nd shift availability required : 3 : 00pm – 1 : 00am We are purpose driven to change people’s lives. The Lee Group is looking for Production Associate s to work at one of our valued clients in Newport News, VA. Production Associate s are essential part of the production process, working on the line to produce high-quality food products that meet the company’s stringent standards. Some responsibilities of Production Associate s will include handling and processing frozen food products, ensuring that production runs smoothly, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. If you are someone who is detail-oriented, can work efficiently in a fast-paced setting, and is comfortable with heavy-lifting and physical tasks , we encourage you to apply!
Job Responsibilities of Production Associate s
- Open boxes of frozen fish and place them on the production line.
- Separate frozen fish portions and evenly distribute them across a conveyor belt. Remove any portions that are the incorrect size or shape.
- Package fish into plastic bags and boxes. Use sealing equipment to secure the boxes.
- Assemble boxes on the assembly line.
- Monitor the quality, size, and shape of fish portions as assigned.
- Maintain cleanliness by sweeping the floor, cleaning the work area, and disposing of refuse.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
