Security Officer - Mall Patrol Specialist

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations to help create a secure environment for all visitors and staff. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate : $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day

Fri 10 : 30 PM - 07 : 00 AM

Sat 10 : 30 PM - 07 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to observe and report any suspicious behavior or security-related issues.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, employees, and / or law enforcement as needed.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to site protocols.
  • Support Allied Universal management and site leadership with additional security-related tasks as assigned.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
