About The Position

Join an established cardiology program and support a growing inpatient and outpatient service. This is an excellent opportunity for a Board-Certified Non-Invasive Cardiologist seeking meaningful, consistent coverage with a strong clinical team.

📌 Position Overview

Practice Setting : Inpatient + Outpatient + Clinic + Call

Reason for Coverage : Support 2nd physician during recruitment

Duration : ASAP → until permanent physician is hired

Call Ratio : 1 : 6

Patient Population : Adult / Geriatric

EMR : Epic

📊 Clinical Workload

Clinic Patients / Day : ~10

Inpatient Admissions / Day : 12–15 per physician

Group : 1 Cardiologist + 4 APCs

Other Cardiologists On-Site During Locum Coverage : Yes

Supervision : Yes — supervise 4 APCs

Job Requirements

🩺 Required Skills & Certifications

Electrocardiograms (EKGs)

Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) Certification — REQUIRED

Advanced Heart Failure; no invasive procedures performed

ACLS — REQUIRED

Advanced Heart Failure Fellowship OR LVAD Experience — REQUIRED

DEA — REQUIRED

Active Virginia License — REQUIRED

Mileage only reimbursement

Clean background for Temp Privs — REQUIRED
