We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Nashville, Tennessee. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business operations and technical solutions, ensuring systems and processes align with organizational goals. This position will involve analyzing functional requirements, documenting business processes, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions that enhance efficiency and service delivery.
Responsibilities :
- Act as the primary liaison between program staff, IT leadership, and external vendor teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Analyze proposed system changes and enhancements to ensure compliance with organizational policies and operational objectives.
- Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements through interviews, workshops, and data analysis.
- Work closely with subject matter experts to translate business needs and policy requirements into clear and actionable system specifications.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), to support system enhancements.
- Facilitate ongoing communication between stakeholders to prioritize tasks, manage dependencies, and ensure project goals are met.
- Conduct detailed analysis of data and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and support decision-making.
- Participate in testing and validation efforts to confirm that system functionalities align with business expectations.
- Monitor and evaluate system incidents, coordinate resolution efforts, and ensure continuous alignment with organizational goals.
- Contribute to release planning, system design discussions, and quality assurance reviews throughout the software development lifecycle.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst within complex systems environments.
- A minimum of 3–5 years of experience working with human services or social services applications, particularly in eligibility or benefits systems.
- Previous involvement with Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) programs, including knowledge of policy, eligibility rules, and workflows.
- Proven ability to bridge business needs with technical solutions and effectively communicate with diverse audiences.
- Strong understanding of system design principles, including the interaction of integrated components within eligibility and case management systems.
- Demonstrated experience in requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation using structured methodologies.
- Advanced analytical skills to assess complex processes and provide actionable recommendations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to foster collaboration and ensure project success.
