Position : Activities Assistant

Location : Boca Raton, Florida

Shift : Full-Time | 11 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM | Every Other Weekend

Salary : $17.00 per hour

About the Role

Yamato Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an energetic and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by providing engaging and meaningful programs that promote social, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of recreational and therapeutic activities.

Support and encourage resident participation in daily programs and special events.

Escort and assist residents to and from activity areas within the facility.

Maintain accurate attendance records and document residents’ participation and responses to activities.

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure activities align with each resident’s care plan.

Contribute ideas for new and innovative programs that enrich residents’ lives.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).

Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer’s residents required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Compassionate, patient, and team-oriented attitude.
