We Are Looking For

The Buyer is responsible for processing orders out of Quantum. Work with the vendors and FDH sales teams to resolve issues that arise from their orders being placed. Negotiate cost savings and improve lead times where possible and ensure that LTA purchasing templates are completed in a timely manner. The Buyer will need to ensure that orders placed are scheduled properly to conserve cash and adhere to customers’ needs dates.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

• Enter vendor quotations into the ERP system
• Review and update the purchasing team's unconfirmed order report on a daily basis
• Process Pos out of Quantum and Kingdee for Adhoc, LTA, and replenishment needs
• Work with vendors and sales team to resolve issues with orders
• Negotiate cost savings and improved lead times
• Ensure LTA items are placed in a timely manner
• Work special projects as needed such as push / cancel lists
• Establish beneficial / advantageous relationships with current and new suppliers
• Provide technical / product knowledge when required, cross reference / equivalent sourcing
• Provide customer bill of material and drawing review to identify required material
• Update and manage product, part number and pricing information on company software system
• Perform other duties assigned
