This opportunity is for a full-time Director of Operations, Behavioral Health / Associate Hospital Administrator. The position offers full benefits and a convenient weekday schedule.
At Old Vineyard Behavioral Health Services, we are helping to create brighter, healthier futures for our patients and their families. We are the Piedmont Triad's only private psychiatric hospital meeting the chemical dependency illnesses and behavioral healthcare needs of those in our community.
Our -bed inpatient services for adolescents through senior adulthood offers comprehensive and individual assessments, psychiatric evaluation and medication stabilization, daily group therapy and personalized aftercare planning. We also offer a Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program to ensure the continuum of care for our patients. Old Vineyard is accredited by The Joint Commission and certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. What does the Director of Operations, Behavioral Health / Associate Hospital Administrator do at Old Vineyard Behavioral Health Services?
Provides administrative leadership, management, and direction for assigned departments. Has the authority and responsibility for taking all reasonable steps to monitor quality care, adherence to hospital policies and procedures, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Cooperates with other hospital leadership for patient-centered integration of shared functions and responsibilities in the provision of healthcare services. Implements hospital initiatives and strategies as directed by the CEO.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position.
Required Education :
Graduate of an accredited college or university with a Master’s degree in hospital or healthcare administration, business administration, public administration, or a related field is preferred.
Required Experience :
Five (5) years’ of healthcare related experience. Knowledge of behavioral health operations strongly preferred. Three (3) years management experience required.
Required Licensure / Certification :
LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT, or RN
Required Skills :
Knowledge of healthcare administration, theory and practice. Demonstrates understanding of legal and regulatory controls, as well as professional and moral ethics. Evidence of interpersonal communication skills necessary to interact effectively with Governing Body, Medical Staff, hospital staff, patients and members of the community. Knowledge of financial implications of decision including budgeting and forecasting for assigned departments and / or projects.
Physical Requirements :
Requires sufficient body mobility to accomplish essential functions. Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to bend, stoop, and kneel with ease. Requires walking and standing often. Requires frequently speaking on the telephone. Able to write legibly and grammatically to convey patient behavior and information in the patient chart. Requires normal or corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Must be able to express and exchange ideas by means of the spoken word. Communicating fluently and effectively both verbally and in writing in English. Ability to appropriately interact with all program staff, patients, visitors, attending physicians, and other department representatives.
