POSITION SUMMARY

The Unit Manager is a nurse leader who provides direction, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care for assigned area on a 24 hour bases. He / she maintains current knowledge regarding techniques, skills, current practices, and regulations for the age and populations of patients served. He / she manages all personnel, supplies, and equipment necessary to facilitate quality patient care. Also functions as a Staff RN occasionally.

EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE :

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Currently licensed as an RN in North Carolina.
• BSN required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years recent clinical nursing experience.
• Demonstrated supervisory skills.
