Design Engineer (Hardware / Mechanical)

The role :

As a Design Engineer at Coram AI, you'll own the mechanical and electromechanical design of our next-generation security and edge-AI systems. You'll bridge industrial design, manufacturing, and field deployment : building products that integrate compute, power, and connectivity in rugged, real-world environments. You'll take ideas from concept through production, shaping how our hardware scales globally.

What you'll do :

• Lead the design, development, and validation of electromechanical assemblies balancing performance, manufacturability, and cost.
• Own the full product lifecycle from prototype through EVT / DVT / PVT, vendor handoff, and field deployment.
• Manage vendor and supplier relationships to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
• Be a proactive self-starter : take initiative, act with urgency, and bring a scrappy, hands-on approach to problem solving in fast-moving environments.
• Drive execution across multiple workstreams with urgency and accountability.

The annual salary range for this role is $135,000 – $170,000, with potential for additional bonuses based on performance.
