Nuclear Medicine / PET Technologist

Memorial Katy Cardiology Associates is adding to the team and in search of a Full Time Nuclear Medicine / PET Technologist in Katy, TX. This position will accommodate the new PET suite located at our Memorial City office location.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Explains procedure to patients to assure cooperation and optimum test result
• Prepares stock solutions of radiopharmaceutical materials, calculate doses, and administers doses, under direction of Physician
• Performs diagnostic exams including Cardiac PET studies on patients as prescribed by physician, including treadmill supervision and starting IVs.
• Measures radioactivity using Geiger counters, scalers and scintillation detectors
• Follows radiation safety techniques in use and disposal of radioactive materials
• Maintains quality control of all equipment
• Safeguard the privacy of patient health information
• Attends required meetings
• Performs related work as required
