Manufacturing Process Engineer

The Manufacturing Process Engineer will identify evaluate and initiate continuous improvement processes related to Engineering Operations Maintenance and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) functions in a manufacturing environment.  Collaborate and work with plant production and support groups to ensure a standard of consistency accountability and sound decision-making for production profitability control machine maintenance and preventative programs R&D initiatives and compliance requirements.

Essential Functions / Responsibilites

• Partner with cross-functional teams to apply lean principles and CNC expertise to improve manufacturing processes and support new product launches.
• Develop validate and maintain CNC programs fixtures and manufacturing methods; support first production runs and fine-tune processes as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement by standardizing processes reducing cycle times increasing throughput and lowering costs on high-volume parts.
• Analyze manufacturing costs identify inefficiencies and work with Engineering and Operations to improve profitability and hit cost targets.
• Support preventive maintenance efforts to keep equipment reliable and minimize production downtime.
• Collaborate with Engineering on R&D and prototype builds helping transition new designs into stable repeatable production.
• Support ISO 9001 EHS and quality requirements by maintaining accurate documentation following standard processes and participating in audits.
• Ensure inspection processes calibrations and certifications are completed accurately to meet quality and customer requirements.
• Assist with work instructions fixtures RMAs supplier inspection records and other production documentation as needed.

Working Environment

While performing the essential responsibilities of this position Team Member generally will work in an office and manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to loud noise moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles and periodic exposure to outdoor environment through open doors. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as approved footwear respirators safety glasses / goggles may be required.
