Business Manager
Serves within the Finance Department and supports district-level financial and administrative functions to ensure that Frontier Schools meet or exceed state standards and operate in full compliance with federal, state, and district regulations. This role encompasses responsibilities in finance, purchasing, compliance, and child nutrition oversight. The Business Manager collaborates closely with finance staff and other central office teams to promote strong fiscal stewardship, accurate reporting, and effective financial management across the district.

Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution. Relevant field is preferred.
- Minimum of five years of administrative or professional experience.
- Master's Degree in relevant field is preferred.
- A strong background in Finance is preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Finance :
Support and assist in administering the district's approved financial operations.Monitor and track incoming funds to ensure strong audit trails, accountability, and compliance.Assist with maintaining accounting systems in accordance with Missouri DESE requirements.Review, process, and organize invoices, purchase orders, and supporting documents. Ensure timely submission of financial records, reconciliations, and audit documentation.Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in both digital and physical formats.Support preparation of annual budgets, financial reports, and district-level summaries.Ensure vendors are paid on time and help maintain positive vendor relationships.Assist with district purchasing systems to ensure competitive pricing and best value for commonly purchased items.Gather quotes, coordinate bidding processes, and maintain current agreements for all contracted services.Ensure purchasing processes meet district policies, state regulations, and federal procurement guidelines.Maintain up-to-date vendor files and contract documentation.Assist in overseeing district-level child nutrition programs to ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines.Support timely processing of free / reduced lunch applications.Help ensure proper implementation of after-school snack programs and meal collection processes.Assist in preparing required DESE submissions related to nutrition, transportation, student health, and reimbursements.Maintain strong internal controls over cash receipts, disbursements, and transactions in the activity fund.Ensure school-level finance and operations staff follow district procedures and policies.Assist with internal audits of campus financial and operational processes.Help correct compliance issues prior to submission to Central Office.Assist with uniform purchasing, inventory, sales, and record keeping.Support fundraising reconciliation, reporting, and compliance with accounting procedures.Prepare reports, materials, analyses, and presentations for meetings or audits.Work directly with the finance manager, school principals, secretaries, and Central Office staff to accomplish departmental goals.Assist with budget planning, forecasting, and financial decision-making as needed.Coordinate or support logistics for transportation, campus events, and district-level operational tasks.Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisors.Skills and Abilities :
