A Residential Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of services to the individuals served including finance medical recreation program services family contact / involvement education and household management. An RC / Lead DSP provides direct support positive direction instruction and assistance to individuals with mental intellectual & developmental and physical disabilities. The ultimate goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.
What You Get to Do :
- Provide hands-on assistance encouragement mentoring and guidance.
- Be a Lead for other DSP staff
- Ensure the comfort safety and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
- Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around getting in and out of bed dressing bathing personal hygiene and more.
- Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.
- Build relationships with persons served and teammates.
- Attend special community occasions and fun activities like outdoor walks games and social events.
- Transport persons served to appointments or other activities outside the home.
- Empower people with disabilities to live life to the fullest.
- Document progress milestones and action steps.
