Job Description
This role is field-based, and candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience. This geography covers : Miami, Hialeah, Westchester, Coral Gables, Homestead, Key West
Responsibilities
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, marketing objectives, etc. in order to meet or exceed those objectives.
- Create pre-call plan using SMART objectives and execute post-call evaluation to continuously improve sales performance. Effectively handle objections and concerns and consistently gain logical and reasonable calls to action to close on every sales call.
- Proactively and continuously serve customer needs, expectations and challenges to build trusted customer relationships and achieve win-win agreements between AbbVie and customers.
- Develop and execute a call plan that achieves set call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.
- Continuously build understanding of customer needs and market landscape, competitors, market segments / dynamics, accounts, disease, product, clinical and sales expertise and share this market intelligence with in-field teams and brand management to align and optimize strategy.
- Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition with healthcare providers and identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers / advocates to maximize brand performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant equivalent industry experience; required if no degree (at least five years of experience with three or more years in pharma / health / science is preferred) with high school diploma / GED also acceptable.Proven track record of leadership and solid presentation skills. Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools; possesses strategic and critical thinking capabilities.Proactively identifies customer style / behavior and adapts selling approach; operates effectively in a matrix environment.Preferred : Proven track record of sales success within respective therapeutic areas; experience in physician / account based selling, training, managed health care or marketing.Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge and is recognized as an expert resource by relevant stakeholders.English language proficiency verbally and in writing (for all non-English speaking countries).HCIR credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities and organizations within the assigned territory; may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and state / city licenses. You are responsible for satisfying all HCIR requirements with AbbVie providing support as needed.Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening; ability to drive personal auto or company vehicle.Additional Information
These HCIR credentialing requirements may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting and specific licenses required by state or local regulations.
