Respiratory Therapist Job Details Location : Latrobe, PA 15650 (Laurel Highlands region) Position : Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Setting : Hospital Employment Type : Travel Respiratory Therapist Contract Start Date : December 8, 2025 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts / week, 36 hours / week) Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1550 - $1660 Respiratory Therapist Qualifications Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license required Minimum 1 year of recent hospital-based respiratory therapy experience BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications Strong clinical, communication, and patient education skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team Key Responsibilities Deliver intensive respiratory care to hospital patients as prescribed by physicians Assess, monitor, and recommend individualized respiratory treatment plans Operate ventilators (invasive and non-invasive), oxygen therapy, aerosol and nebulizer devices Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, pulse oximetry, and capnography monitoring Conduct 12-lead EKGs, recognize basic arrhythmias, and perform pulmonary function tests Assist with bronchoscopy, tracheostomy care, and chest tube placement procedures Perform arterial blood gas punctures and accurately report test results Document all respiratory treatments and patient responses in the electronic medical record Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals Participate in shift handoff communication and maintain accurate therapy billing / charging Perform additional duties as assigned by hospital leadership Apply now to join our Latrobe, PA hospital team as a Respiratory Therapist and make a difference in patient care!
