Power BI Developer

Job Description :

Forward Air is seeking a Power BI Developer who will take a leadership role in developing and managing complex data visualizations, dashboards, and analytical solutions that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure data models are optimized for performance, scalability, and accuracy. This role is crucial in advancing our business intelligence capabilities and enabling key stakeholders to make informed decisions based on reliable data insights.

Core Responsibilities & Duties :

• Advanced Report Development : Lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex Power BI reports and dashboards, incorporating rate calculations and performance optimization techniques
• Strategic Data Integration : Collaborate closely with internal data engineers and architects to integrate, transform, and optimize data from multiple sources, ensuring high accuracy, security, and performance
• Data Modeling : Develop and optimize data models that drive efficient, scalable reporting and analysis, including handling large and complex datasets across the organization
• Stakeholder Management : Work with Business stakeholders, including department heads and executive leadership, to gather requirements, deliver insights, and propose BI solutions that align with strategic business objectives
• Performance Optimization : Continuously monitor and refine reports and dashboards to improve speed and user experience, identifying and resolving bottlenecks
• Documentation and Best Practices : Establish and maintain clear documentation for BI processes, data models, and reporting standards, driving adherence to best practices and compliance with industry regulations
• Continuous Improvement : Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and techniques in data visualization and analytics, proposing and implementing enhancements to the organization’s BI capabilities
