Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide supportive rehabilitative care within a skilled nursing environment. The PTA will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve mobility, strength, and independence.

Responsibilities :

• Carry out physical therapy treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and functional mobility interventions.
• Document treatment sessions, observations, and patient progress according to facility and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate patient updates, concerns, and improvements to the Physical Therapist and care team.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safe mobility techniques, and assistive strategies.
• Maintain treatment equipment and ensure a clean, safe therapy environment.
• Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration to support comprehensive patient care.
• Modify treatment activities based on patient tolerance and clinical guidance.
• Support discharge planning by reporting functional gains and treatment outcomes.
• Follow all facility, state, and federal regulations governing therapy services.
