Position Summary
The Salesforce Technical Program Manager will lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of complex Salesforce platform initiatives for a federal agency. This role requires a blend of hands-on technical understanding, program management expertise, and experience guiding agile teams in high-security government environments. The ideal candidate will partner with business owners, architects, and development teams to ensure the successful delivery of Salesforce solutions that drive mission-critical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end program delivery for Salesforce platform enhancements, integrations, and modernization initiatives.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, leadership, and external partners, ensuring alignment of priorities and expectations.
- Translate business goals and user needs into actionable roadmaps, sprint plans, and program documentation.
- Lead Agile / Scrum ceremonies and support the continuous improvement of team delivery processes.
- Manage interdependencies across workstreams, risks, technical challenges, and stakeholder communications.
- Ensure all development and deployment work complies with federal security and compliance standards (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA).
- Support change management and release readiness reviews in coordination with Release Managers and Salesforce Admin / DevOps roles.
- Report regularly on program status, risks, capacity, and resourcing to key stakeholders and agency leadership.
- Maintain strong documentation, including program dashboards, risk registers, and technical artifacts.
- Drive team and user adoption of new platform features through enablement and communication strategies.
Required Qualifications
U.S. CitizenshipBachelors degree7+ years of experience managing enterprise-level software programs or projects (including at least 3 years supporting Salesforce or similar CRM platforms).Demonstrated experience leading technical teams in a federal or highly regulated environment.Familiarity with Salesforce platform components (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Lightning, integrations, APIs, metadata, security).Deep experience with Agile methodologies, sprint planning, velocity tracking, and iterative delivery.Strong understanding of federal cloud governance, compliance frameworks (FedRAMP) and security SDLC practices.Proven ability to communicate technical details to non-technical audiences and build consensus across diverse teams.Excellent organization, documentation, and multi-tasking skills under tight deadlines.Preferred Qualifications
