Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position in a Level I Trauma environment with call requirements and TNCC certification.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in the PACU of a hospital setting
  • Cares for both adult and pediatric patients
  • Day shifts are three 12-hour shifts from 6 : 00am–6 : 30pm or 8 : 00am–8 : 30pm, with call required
  • Pre-op and post-op shifts available
  • On-call rotation includes Friday nights, weekends, two weeknights per six-week period, and holiday on-call
  • Possible floating to the Tabor GI or pain center if needed
  • Uses Cerner Aecis Surgi Net for charting
  • Scrubs are provided
  • Main responsibilities include pre- and post-operative recovery of adult and pediatric patients in a trauma setting
  • Weekend shifts only required if on call
  • Block scheduling requests cannot be accommodated
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • RTO must be specified at time of consideration; changes after submission cannot be accepted
  • Local travelers within 50 miles accepted at a different rate

    • Requirements

  • Active PA RN license or compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • Required certifications : Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), PALS, and ACLS in hand prior to start
  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience in PACU or critical care nursing
  • Recent Level I Trauma and ICU experience required
  • SICU, MICU, or CTICU experience preferred
  • Experience in Cerner charting system preferred
  • Two recent professional supervisor references required
