Schedule

Shifts are from 10 : 00 AM to 8 : 30 PM and 12 : 00 PM to 10 : 30 PM, with some Saturdays required. This position requires availability for holidays and weekends.

Job Description

The PACU RN will provide critical care nursing in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. Responsibilities include managing high acuity patients and supporting patients of all ages, including pediatrics. The role requires expertise in high acuity critical care PACU skills, including art lines, multiple titrating drips, and cardiac monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia in the PACU.
  • Monitor vital signs and manage critical care needs.
  • Administer medications and manage IV infusion therapies.
  • Provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients and adults.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a high acuity PACU setting.
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.
  • Infusion specialty preferred.
  • Must have EPIC experience from within the past 2 years.
  • Experience in a large teaching facility required.
