Student Billing and Human Resources Coordinator

The Student Billing and Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for receiving tuition payments, fees, and other amounts owed to the school. This position compiles and maintains accounts receivable reports, records, and files. The coordinator also assists the Director of Human Resources with tasks related to recruiting, maintaining employee files, and other HR functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain student billing system, including working with families to ensure accounts are kept current.
  • Maintain and update accounting records and files.
  • Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger (e.g. by assets, liabilities income, and expenses)
  • Reconcile bank statements.
  • Record, analyze and reconcile transactions with donors.
  • As assigned, complete necessary month-end and year-end reconciliations
  • Prepare documents for audits.
  • Report to the Senior Accountant and work to improve financial processes.
  • Assist the Director of Human Resources with recruiting process :

Develops and assists managers with maintaining accurate job descriptions

  • Posts job descriptions on job sites and website
  • Coordinates with dept / division re : candidate visits
  • Coordinates with search firms and schedules candidate visits (visit schedules, interviews, etc.)
  • Employment verifications
  • Processes Act 168 forms
  • General Responsibilities

  • Research and process charge backs, returns and bad checks
  • Prepares and runs all accounts receivable reports and maintains accurate and organized files
  • Assists with month end close of Financial Statements
  • Supports Financial Aid Committee by gathering and compiling necessary information / data
  • Assist the Director of Human Resources with other tasks as assigned.
  • Qualifications and Expectations

  • Ability to communicate effectively with school representatives, parents, students, and representatives from the business community.
  • Working knowledge of business accounting policies, procedures, practices and software programs.
  • Occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Generally works in standard office conditions and climate.
  • May work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time.
  • Manage confidential situations with discretion, judgment, respect, and sensitivity
