Schedule : Night shift, 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM, 13-week contract, every other weekend required

Highlights :

Work in a state-of-the-art, 24 / 7 emergency department at a 528-bed Magnet-recognized acute care teaching facility

Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center with dedicated pediatric ED, crisis intervention unit, and trauma suite

Patient ratio of 1 : 5 with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy

EPIC charting system with 24 hours of orientation provided

Exciting case mix including stroke, neuro-trauma, cardiac emergencies, gunshot wounds, and ortho trauma

Opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative teaching environment affiliated with nationally recognized healthcare systems

Requirements :

Active New York State RN license (must be in hand prior to submission; NY is not a compact state)

Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; PALS and TNCC preferred

Minimum 2 years of emergency department nursing experience

EPIC charting experience required

Proficiency in IV therapy including blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, and IV vasopressor management

Experience with CPAP / BiPAP and ventilator management

Competency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management

Experience with stroke care, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury

Ability to provide emergency care for adult and geriatric populations

Willingness to float within skillset as needed

Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
