Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Snowflake DBA with strong cloud platform expertise, particularly in Azure Data Stack components. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience managing Snowflake environments, implementing CI / CD pipelines, and using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools to build scalable, secure cloud data platforms.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 12+ years of total IT experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience managing and supporting Cloud Data Platforms in Azure , including :

Azure Data Factory (ADF)

  • Self-Hosted Integration Runtime (SHIR)
  • Logic Apps
  • ADLS Gen2
  • Blob Storage
  • Strong expertise in Snowflake administration , including setup, configuration, performance tuning, security, and cost optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and processes , particularly :

    • GitActions CI / CD

  • Terraform (IaC)
  • Solid understanding of cloud architecture , infrastructure automation, and best practices.

    • Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and administer Snowflake environments including warehouses, databases, roles, security policies, and resource monitors.
  • Optimize Snowflake performance through clustering, micro-partitioning analysis, query tuning, and workload optimization.
  • Implement and manage Azure Data Stack components, including ADF, SHIR, ADLS Gen2, Logic Apps, and Blob Storage.
  • Develop and manage CI / CD pipelines for data platform deployments using GitActions.
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code templates using Terraform to automate cloud resource provisioning.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and cost usage across Snowflake and Azure environments.
  • Ensure data security and compliance by implementing access controls, encryption standards, and governance policies.
  • Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, BI, and DevOps teams to support ongoing development and production workloads.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to avoid recurring problems.
  • Support data migration, data ingestion pipelines, and integration activities across cloud and on-premise systems.
  • Document architecture, configurations, standards, and procedures for ongoing platform operations.

    • Desired Skills

  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Databricks for data engineering or analytics workloads.
  • Experience with additional cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) or enterprise data solutions.
  • Knowledge of data governance , compliance frameworks, and security standards.

    • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
