Inova McClean Ambulatory Surgery Center is currently hiring a Full-Time (M-F, 5x8) seasoned Surgical Tech (ST) to become an integral member of our team, delivering unparalleled care to our patients. ABOUT US:

Inova Ambulatory Surgery Center at McLean is a full service ambulatory outpatient facility. We are licensed, Medicare certified, and AAAHC accredited. We provide cost-effective outpatient services using modern, state-of-the-art technology in a friendly and caring environment by highly-skilled, compassionate staff. We currently operate with two Operating Rooms (ORs) and two Procedure Rooms (PRs), and we’re planning to add a third OR soon. Our specialties encompass ENT (Adult and Pediatric), General Surgery, Podiatry, Orthopedics, and Plastic Surgery. On average, our center manages around 500 cases per month.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Scrub surgical procedures under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse
• Assist with transferring patient to the operating room table; assist with positioning the patient, using appropriate equipment and anatomical principles to avoid patient injury
• Perform initial instrument, sharps and sponge counts with the circulator
• Prepare and maintain supplies, instruments, equipment and rooms for surgical procedures
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon by passing instruments and supplies to surgeon during procedure
• Recognize safety hazards and initiates appropriate corrective and/or preventive measures
• Perform other related duties as a key member of the team supporting the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Two or more years of Surgical Tech (ST) experience
• Completion of an appropriate Surgical Tech program
  
• Surgical Tech certification or experience required
• Registered to practice in the State of Virginia
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• BLS certification is required
