Robert Half's client is looking for a UX Researcher with over 7 years of experience for a 3-month contract that is 100% onsite in Seattle, WA. This researcher will help transform how people discover, consume, and create content by deeply understanding customer needs. As part of the design team, you will help build simple, efficient interfaces and AI‑enabled features that improve discovery and empower sellers to manage their online business with ease.
Responsibilities
- Develop and document best practices for seller research; create and maintain a usability toolkit.
- Promote usability and user‑centered design best practices.
- Plan and conduct a wide range of UX research studies, including competitive analyses, focus groups, field studies, usability tests, surveys, cognitive walkthroughs, contextual inquiry, task analyses, heuristic reviews, and card sorting.
- Create research tasks and materials, and define measurable success criteria.
- Synthesize findings and deliver clear, actionable recommendations to product and design teams.
- Observe research sessions and provide real‑time insights to inform design decisions.
- 7+ years of experience conducting user research and formal usability studies.
- Demonstrated expertise in contextual inquiry, screening criteria, research planning, and reporting.
- Strong advocacy for user‑centered design principles.
- Deep curiosity about users’ daily needs, behaviors, and workflows.
- Highly collaborative, detail‑oriented, and self‑directed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Evaluative user research experience
