Lab Assistant

Dr. Ilana Bennett is seeking a part-time (30 hours / week) Laboratory Assistant to begin in Fall 2025 for a 1 year appointment. Dr. Bennett's research group investigates the effects of aging on behavior and the brain using neuropsychological, cognitive, and neuroimaging data in younger and older adults. The Laboratory Assistant will be involved in multiple aspects of the research, including participant recruitment and screening, data collection, and maintenance of behavioral and neuroimaging data records. Preferred candidates will have a strong research background, with experience recruiting, scheduling, and collecting data from human subjects; and experience working with MRI and older adults. All candidates must have excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills. The position is ideal for motivated individuals interested in pursuing an advanced degree in cognitive neuroscience or related fields.

The full salary range for the Lab Assistant is $20.01 - $23.16 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $20.01 - $20.78 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
