Charging Development Intern (Internship - Summer 2026)
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Support the growth of the engineering group's capabilities for production vehicle and new technology development
- Support the execution of the engineering group's goals and objectives through to successful completion
- Support inter-team collaborations and knowledge sharing through transparent communications
- Create and deliver engineering reports and presentations on short term and long term work activities
- Remain current with new technology and competitive products as a means to drive innovations
- Provide engineering support for electrified propulsion system related concerns for both pre-production and post-production issues
- Perform engineering activities related to :
Development or identification of new technologies, strategies, and methods for improving the fuel economy and performance of current and future Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis production hybrid and battery electric vehicles
Test and evaluation of various electrified propulsion system components such as electric machines, and power electronicsFeasibility analysis of new electrified system technologies through on-road evaluations and data collectionCreating and organizing standard engineering documents for efficient work processesWHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
Currently pursuing a B.S. in Electrical EngineeringFoundational knowledge of electrified propulsion components and systems.Basic skills in data analysis tools (Excel, MATLAB).Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Interest in electric vehicle technologies and innovation.OTHER DETAILS
