Our trucking client is seeking a collaborative and hands-on Controller who thrives in a collaborative and team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate brings a balance of financial precision and business insight, with the integrity, adaptability, and leadership skills to support both daily operations and long-term growth. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys being deeply involved in the details while also serving as a trusted advisor to ownership. This role is hybrid in Vancouver, WA.

Controller Responsibilities

Oversee all daily accounting functions, including reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting

Develop budgets, forecasts, and margin analyses to guide strategic decisions

Manage payroll, settlements, and benefits administration for a diverse workforce

Ensure compliance with transportation-related tax and regulatory requirements

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of four accounting staff while fostering accuracy and accountability

Controller Qualifications

3+ years of accounting experience in trucking, freight, or logistics

2+ years in a Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar leadership role

Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and multi-entity P&L management

Proficiency with ERP / accounting systems; experience with TMS platforms a plus

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance preferred, or equivalent experience

Salary : $110-150K + Bonus (DOE)
