Job Title : Food & Beverage Manager
Job Summary : The Food & Beverage Manager is passionate about food, customer service and training. The Manager is responsible for the daily operation of all food and beverage concessions at Lake Winnepesaukah and Soak Ya. The Manager shall be an experienced food service leader with a goal to build, train, and maintain an effective team through innovation and proven processes and will assist in off-season projects as assigned.
Job Responsibilities :
- Identify and document processes to ensure consistent preparation and delivery of food items to customers and train cooks to follow.
- Enforce sanitary practices for safe food handling, general cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local ordinances and regulations regarding food safety.
- Ensure compliance with operational standards and company procedures.
- Maintain a professional Food Service Image, including restaurant cleanliness and proper standards of uniform and appearance.
- Work closely with Director to determine food and beverage costs to minimize cost of goods and maximize revenue while maintaining food and service quality.
- Work closely with vendors to purchase items as needed and delivery of food and supplies and ensure ongoing control of food expiration dates.
- Ensure positive guest service in all areas. Respond to guest concerns, taking actions for guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a favorable working relationship with all employees and departments to foster and promote a cooperative working environment which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure a safe working environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents. Maintains and instructs personnel on safety policies and procedures and follows up to ensure hazards are eliminated.
- Manage scheduling and shift assignments to control labor while upholding standards, product quality and cleanliness.
- Provide leadership and direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues for Food and Cleaning.
- Oversee Janitorial staff, insuring clean and stocked restrooms.
- Ensure proper cash management controls are followed by all food and beverage staff members, as per policy.
- Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback and establishing performance expectations.
- Provide a favorable image of Lake Winnepesaukah at all times.
Education and Experience :
Minimum of 5 years' experience in food service, with a proven track record in food service.Minimum of 2 years in management, preferably with multiple locations.Above average written and verbal communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to work at all levels and ages in the food service industry.Ability to operate phones, computers and proficiency with Word and Excel for business correspondence and analysis.Valid Food Safe Certification as recognized by the State of Georgia.Physical Requirements :
Able to communicate clearly with co-workers and guests.Able to walk frequently; up to 10 miles per day.Able to reach, bend, stoop and lift to 50 pounds.Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.Able to work with hot, cold and hazardous equipment as well as operating other standard food service equipment.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
