About The Position

Job Title : Respiratory Therapist (RRT-NICU)

Profession : Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

Specialty : RRT-NICU

Duration : 8 weeks

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum of 1 year of experience required

License : Must have a valid state or compact license

Certifications : BLS, NRP, RRT

Must-Have :

Candidates must have experience in NICU settings.

CRT certifications are not accepted.

Candidates must be willing to float within facility / scope of practice as needed.

Travelers are expected to be available to work major holidays that fall during the assignment period.

Description :

The position requires a qualified Respiratory Therapist to work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Candidates must have experience in managing neonates with various respiratory issues.

Candidates will be responsible for administering respiratory care treatments and therapies.

Skills required include nasal and oral suctioning, tracheostomy care and management, and assisting with intubation and extubation.

Experience with specialized ventilation equipment and techniques, including oscillating ventilators and bubble CPAP, is essential.

Candidates must be adept at troubleshooting high-pressure alarms and weaning patients from mechanical ventilation.

The unit accepts first-time travelers; however, previous experience in a NICU setting is preferred.

Compliance and full orientation are required to start on time.

Candidates are expected to comply with all facility requirements.

Flexibility regarding unit and shift assignments may be necessary.

Two supervisory references are preferred at the time of submission to support the application.
