Senior Information Systems Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Perform system design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging, and implementation of application programs that support core business operations
• Install, configure, and support operating systems (Red Hat Linux, UNIX, Windows) and utilities software
• Conduct system analysis to resolve complex business and operational problems using automated systems
• Administer Red Hat Linux/UNIX/Windows OS via command line, including Pitbull Trusted Network Environment (TNE) systems
• Troubleshoot OS and hardware/software issues through command-line tools
• Manage secure network infrastructures (CONUS/OCONUS), ensuring communication and network security operations
• Configure, install, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, VOIP, video teleconferencing systems, and telecom hardware
• Install and troubleshoot 10/100/1000 Base T and fiber optic cabling in support of enterprise network systems
• Support deployment and management of Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) environments, including monthly updates and troubleshooting for VMs and applications
• Provide hands-on Linux system support, cloud application monitoring, and helpdesk escalation support as needed

Qualifications:

• . Citizenship is required by Federal Law
• Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience; Master's degree acceptable
• Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance required at time of hire
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant systems/network administration experience

Technical Skills:

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), UNIX, Windows Server
• Command-line administration (Linux/UNIX/Windows)
• Trusted Network Environment (TNE) – Pitbull
• TCP/IP, routing protocols, secure networking practices
• Cisco routers/switches, VOIP, video conferencing systems
• Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) deployment and support
• Virtual Machine (VM) management, containerized services
• Familiarity with DISA STIGs, IC security requirements
• Support Experience: Tiered helpdesk troubleshooting and escalation
• Work Environment: On-site support and occasional travel to CONUS/OCONUS locations may be required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Containerization tools and cloud platforms
• Familiarity with DoD or Intelligence Community (IC) environments
• STIG compliance and hardening experience
