Job Title: Insurance Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Accounts Receivable
Education: Associate degree or 3+ years’ equivalent experience
Preferred experience: Mass Health Insurance/ Insurance Application Process, but willing to train!

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, M-F, in-house position. It is flexible as long as the hours are done from Monday to Friday between 8am- 5pm.
Pay Range (depending on experience): $20.00 to $24.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Assist patients/residents and their families in understanding Medicaid eligibility requirements and the application process.
• Coordinate and oversee the Medicaid application process from start to finish.
• Follow up with families, financial institutions, and agencies to obtain necessary documentation.
• Act as a liaison between the facility and local/state Medicaid offices to ensure efficient processing and resolution of any issues.
• Ensure all deadlines for applications, renewals, and redeterminations are met.
• Monitors changes in Medicaid policies and communicate updates to staff and families as necessary.
• Assist fellow Medicaid liaisons with caseloads during high-volume periods, or as needed to ensure continuity and timely processing
