Commercial Underwriter I

A company is looking for a Commercial Underwriter I.

Key Responsibilities

Completes underwriting training and shadows experienced underwriters

Evaluates basic accounts for risk selection and pricing under supervision

Communicates with agents and collaborates with marketing representatives

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in insurance or business administration, or equivalent experience

Preferred insurance designations, such as CPCU

Basic knowledge of underwriting and risk analysis preferred

Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team

Good computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office
