Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical ICU night shift position in Michigan, requiring open heart training and current MI licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a Medical Surgical ICU (MSICU) hospital setting
  • 12-hour night shifts from 6 : 42 PM to 7 : 12 AM
  • Required to work three weekend shifts per four-week scheduling period (Friday and Saturday)
  • No on-call requirements
  • Uses Epic EMR, with experience preferred
  • Responsibilities include comprehensive assessment and integrated pre- and post-operative critical care functions
  • Role involves organizing, coordinating, and evaluating all aspects of patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team
  • Limited to five days of requested time off
  • Local travelers may complete only one travel assignment

    • Requirements

  • Active Michigan RN license required
  • Two or more years of recent SICU experience required
  • Open heart training required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from AHA required
  • Travel nursing experience highly preferred
  • Epic experience preferred
  • Not accepting candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of the facility
