The Collins Aerospace Mission Systems Integrated Platform Solutions (IPS) engineering team is seeking a highly motivated Senior Level Mechanical Engineer that is passionate about the development of electronics equipment and integration. This position will require ownership and coordination with a highly cross-functional team to ensure quality and compliance of designs throughout the entirety of their lifecycles. The selected candidate will be instrumental in driving innovation in the design, development, and test of electronic equipment supporting military communications missions.

This position is onsite in Richardson, TX.

What You Will Do :

• Communicate technical topics and issues in a clear and concise manner to both technical peers as well as non-technical team members.
• Conduct and provide constructive feedback during peer reviews. Mentor and document knowledge to provide technical guidance to both members of own team and beyond.
• Interface with a cross functional team, such as Electrical and Systems engineering, to ensure requirements compliance throughout the entirety of a product’s lifecycle.
• Work proactively and in a self-driven manner with an integrated product team (IPT) to manage project scope and budget, as well as identify risks and opportunities.
• Participate in and lead investigations into highly complex, open-ended tasks. Search for and identify root cause of issues.
• Create military compliant designs that incorporate custom machined / sheet metal parts with a selection of commercial off the shelf items as required.
• Contribute to prototyping and testing activities to verify product requirements compliance.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
