🔍 Position Highlights :

✅ 24-Hour In-House OB / GYN Coverage

✅ Postpartum, Antepartum, Labor & Delivery, ER GYN

✅ Care for Unassigned + Private Practice Patients

✅ Avg. 3–4 Deliveries & 13–15 Patients per Shift

✅ Work with OB Residents & 3rd / 4th-Year Medical Students

✅ Primary Physician On-Duty + Backup Physician Available

✅ Epic EMR System

✅ Level II & III NICU + ICU Support

👩‍🔬 Duties Include :

🩺 Manage triage, labor, and delivery for a broad patient mix

🚨 Handle OB / GYN emergencies and ED consults

👩‍⚕️ Collaborate with private OB practices for in-hospital care

📋 Round on postpartum, antepartum, and OB ED patients

📚 Supervise and support medical students and residents

🔄 Call in back-up support when needed for complex cases

🚫 No midwife coverage—hospitalist manages all direct care

🏥 Hospital Setting Includes :

👶 ~ 120 Deliveries per Month

🛏️ Level II & III NICUs | 25+ Bed ICU

📊 ~ 10% of Patients Without Prenatal Care

Requirements

📝 Active California Medical License – Required

📍 Must Currently Reside in California

📊 Fetal Heart Monitoring Certification – Required

📆 Minimum of 5–7 In-House Shifts per Month

👶 Experience with Level II / III NICUs – Preferred
