Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an Anatomic Pathologists to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals / Harlem . The Hospital is part of the   NYC Health + Hospitals. Harlem Hospital is a designated Level 1 Trauma Center and is recognized for providing centers of excellence in the areas of Bariatric Surgery, Breast Imaging and Sexual Assault Forensics. Our teams provide services for nearly 213,000 outpatient visits, more than 83,000 emergency room visits and over 13,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons . To maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Responsibilities

The department of Pathology at Harlem Hospital is seeking an Attending Pathologist for the Division of Anatomic Pathology. The Division of Anatomic Pathology at Harlem Hospital is CAP accredited, and has a Surgical Pathology volume of 6,000 specimens per year. The successful candidate must have strong surgical pathology skills :

• Diagnostic evaluation of surgical pathology specimens, biopsies and frozen sections,
• Attending Conferences / Tumor Board
• Sign out of autopsies
• Provide on call coverage for frozen sections
