Permanent - Senior Ultrasound Sonographer - five openings

Must have flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate to othersites and work shifts (8, 10 or 12 hour), also cove for weekends and holidays and on-call shifts. This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all Medical Center locations and variable shifts per department needs.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Perform diagnostic sonograms to demonstrate anatomy and pathology for interpretation :

• Obtain appropriate patient clinical information from requesting physician and / or service prior to performing exam.
• Prepare patient for imaging.
• Prepare room and equipment prior to imaging and after completion of exam.
• Demonstrate appropriate self-critique of exams to include ability to recognize sub-optimal techniques and equipment malfunctions.
• Meet physical requirements to perform all aspects of diagnostic sonography studies in the inpatient as well as outpatient settings, including but not limited to : performing portable exams, transferring and transporting gurney and wheelchair
• Maintain RDMS credential(s) according to the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography's criteria.
