If a mixed team of MS and Tele ratio is still 1 : 4Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?)BLS, ACLS, NIHSSCommon diagnosis / Types of patientsAcute / Chronic Medical Conditions, Post Surgical patient population including Bariatrics and Total Joints (must be comfortable with this population), urology, GYN, podiatry, general surgery. Stroke patients, non-titratable drips. Potential Oncology patients.Experience or 'Must have' skillsAt least 2 years' experience, Cerner experience preferred.Are RN's required to titrate dripsNo titrationCommon titratable & / or set rate dripsSet rate Cardizem, Amiodarone & HeparinAre there Tele / Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RN's required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?GE Monitors. RNs must be able to read & interpret all cardiac rhythms.Charge Nurse / House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?House supervisor in house 24 / 7, Nurse Manager during normal business hours, Nurse Shift Managers + Charge Nurse OR Break Nurse each shift. If no Nurse Shift Manager, will have a Charge Nurse + Break NurseAre there Nurse Aides on this unit / RatiosCNAs based on the censusRT / Equipment (i.e., Cpap, Bipap, High Flow, vents, etc.)Cpap or Bipap (per RT & MD order)-No vents.Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Can float to any MS Tele unit. Can float to ICU for MedSurg Tele patients. Can float to ER for MedSurg Tele holds.Scrub Color / Dress Code / Scrubs Provided?Navy blue. If you wear an undershirt under your scrub top, it must be navy, white, or black. If you wear a scrub jacket, it must also be navy. No hoodies, sweatshirts, or sweat Specific Orientation1-2 shifts with preceptorAdditional Notes\"Warm & welcoming staff. Must uphold evidence based practices : bedside shift report, intentional hourly rounding, medication teaching including side effects. Fast paced unit with many admissions and discharges due to surgical volume. Any issues that compromise patient safety will not be tolerated. Very strict regarding attendance. Do not be late.\" Cancellation can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks (Hospital may also pay full hours for a particular shift, in lieu of cancellation). Charting BSN License to Trauma Level : Care Shift , EOW, first to float Required , BLS (AHA), NIHSS - AHA or APEX Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Contract Weeks : 91
